“There’s no telling when my ‘ah-ha’ moment comes when I am designing a house. Sometimes it comes early on with a simple magic marker sketch, or sometimes it might be the third hard-line draft of an elevation. My first ‘ah-ha’ moment is the moment when I have solved the problem, and I realize I like the direction that the project is going. The true ‘ah-ha’ moment, though, is seeing the design completed.”
